The Color Block Lipstick is moderately long-wearing. (It’s almost an exact dupe for Sultry Sienna from the CoverGirl Exhibitionist line, if you want a more affordable option.) I was gifted the shade Amberlight, which honestly could not have been a better tone for me, so thank you Ilia! They call it a “French Nude” on their website with a neutral undertone it definitely has some soft pink and beige tones in there. No I won’t, it’s that good!) From the drugstore, this is very similar to the CoverGirl Exhibitionist Lipstick in that, again, they’re both very hydrating while delivering amazing color and coverage. (Will she ever stop talking about that lipstick, you may ask. ![]() ![]() Actually, I find the texture very similar to my beloved Flower Beauty Mix n’ Matte Lip Duo (the matte lipstick side that is) in that they’re both very hydrating and have that nearly matte finish. I would say that the Color Block Lipstick is just a tad more balmy than the Flower Beauty. In terms of finish, I’d say this is somewhere between a really comfortable matte and a satin texture. What else could you ask for in a lipstick? You definitely don’t need to spend time building this up you get full pigment from first swipe. I love it!
